Renowned Isoko highlife musician, Dr. Arube Otor, famously known as Isoko Fela, has made headlines with his bold declaration to father 32 children before leaving this world.
The 53-year-old artist, who already has nine children, took a significant step toward his goal by marrying three women on the same day in a grand ceremony held on Sunday, January 18, 2025, in Uzere, Delta State.
The celebration, which took place at the Anglican Church Field London Base in Uzere Kingdom, marked the addition of three new wives to Otor’s family, bringing his total to four.
“I want to have 32 children, and until I realize that dream, I won’t leave this earth,” he confidently stated.
Born into a polygamous family, Otor attributes his embrace of the lifestyle to the harmony he experienced growing up. “Polygamy was never a problem in our home. We bonded well and still maintain a healthy relationship,” he said.
To save costs, Otor decided to host a single reception for his three brides, stating, “I’ve already paid their bride prices, and we’ve been living together. The event is just a reception. Members of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria will provide music, and refreshments are finalized. It will be a big day.”
Otor has expressed plans to marry two more wives soon and ensures his household remains harmonious. “If there’s a dispute, I mediate in the presence of the others so everyone learns from the resolution. My wives are independent; one is a hairdresser, another a caterer, and one a trader,” he explained.
Despite his age, Otor is confident in fulfilling his marital responsibilities, crediting his vitality to a natural diet. “I don’t eat rice because it weakens a man. My diet keeps me fit and ready. I visit my wives weekly, and none of them feels neglected,” he said, adding that he avoids aphrodisiacs entirely.
With his ambitious goal of fathering 32 children, Otor’s polygamous lifestyle continues to captivate public attention.
