Hon. Hussaini Abdulkarim Ahmed, the Kaduna South Federal Constituency representative, has embarked on a mission to alleviate water scarcity in his constituency.

The lawmaker has commenced the construction of 26 high-powered solar boreholes across 13 political wards in the area.

This initiative aims to address the struggles of women and children who trek long distances under the scorching sun in search of water. The lawmaker is deeply concerned about the plight of his constituents and has demonstrated his commitment to tackling the water crisis in Kaduna.

The construction of these solar boreholes will provide clean water, reduce waterborne diseases, and improve the quality of life for residents.

The lawmaker has urged beneficiary communities to take responsibility for the boreholes after construction.

This initiative is a welcome development, given the state’s struggles with water scarcity and poor sanitation. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the residents of Kaduna South, improving their access to clean water and overall health outcomes.
