Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as a potential replacement for Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, who could be on his way to Saudi Arabia.

The club is said to be open to offers for Vinicius amid concerns over his fit with Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid’s recent 3-0 Champions League loss to Arsenal has sparked internal talks on revamping their attack.

Vinicius has tallied 104 goals and 77 assists in 308 games for Madrid but has seen a dip in form. A move to the Saudi Pro League could fetch Madrid up to €300m, freeing up funds to pursue Osimhen.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, Osimhen has scored 28 goals and provided 5 assists in 32 matches this season. Madrid see him as a key target, with a potential fee around €72m. His arrival could allow Mbappe to shift to the left wing.

Manchester United have reportedly submitted a bid for Osimhen, while Chelsea have exited the race. Napoli are also open to lowering their price to avoid selling him to Serie A rivals Juventus.

Despite Galatasaray’s interest in keeping him, Osimhen has previously expressed a desire to move to the Premier League. He joined the Turkish side on loan after a failed transfer to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

During his time at Napoli, he scored 76 goals in 133 games and helped them win their first Serie A title in 33 years.
