Manchester United and Arsenal have entered direct negotiations with Mathys Tel’s camp as both clubs look to secure a deal for the Bayern Munich forward.
With the January transfer window nearing its end, there are still “concrete chances” for Tel to leave Bayern on an initial loan deal, with a potential buy option being discussed. However, Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, has hinted that the young Frenchman could still remain at the club beyond Tuesday, stating, “It’s quite possible that he will still be a Bayern player by Tuesday.”
Despite this, the situation remains open, with Tel carefully considering all options alongside his agent. Manchester United and Arsenal have both made contact, hoping to convince the 18-year-old to join their ranks. Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry—two legendary figures at United and Arsenal—are among Tel’s biggest idols, which could play a key role in his decision.
As the Deadline Day countdown intensifies, all eyes are on Tel’s next move.
Will he remain at Bayern or take a leap into the Premier League?
