A popular actress, Anita Joseph, is of the opinion that women should not shy away from expressing themselves freely when having sex.
Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, she said, “Men are expressive during sex. Why can’t women do that? Of course, women should enjoy sex with their husbands too.
“Some African men believe that when a woman moans, rolls and twists well during sex, she is spoilt, and they might question where she learnt it from. Some men would not want you to be expressive; they shut women up a lot, intimidate them, and feel we don’t have a say. They used to say it’s the man’s world, but not anymore.
“Women should express themselves. If you want to scream or shout, do it since you are enjoying it. It’s supposed to be pleasurable and sweet, so enjoy it, baby; it’s your right. Yes, a woman can ask for sex. There is a way we communicate it. Sometimes, you don’t even need to talk. A smart man understands when a woman wants something.”
Also weighing in on the controversial opinion that “hook-up” culture is gaining momentum among youths and should be legalized, Joseph said, “Legalising hook-up is an abomination and can’t happen here. Nigeria is not like this, and we can’t accept it. We are too religious for that.”
The actress and singer added that she had recently released three movies— ‘August Visit’, ‘Always in My Head’, and ‘The Uber Girl’— on YouTube, and had also released two music singles— ‘Odogwu’ and ‘Do not Forsake Me’.
