Napoli Considering Manchester United’s “Hojlund + Cash” Offer for Osimhen

Napoli are reportedly weighing up a deal with Manchester United that could see Danish forward Rasmus Hojlund swap Old Trafford for the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, while Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen finally gets the Premier League move he has been linked with for what feels like a decade.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray after Napoli’s summer transfer plans collapsed like a poorly built sandcastle on deadline day, remains a hot property across Europe. His contract with Napoli runs until 2026, with an option to extend to 2027—because why sell a player when you can keep negotiating forever?

According to Calciomercato.com, United are considering a player-plus-cash offer, featuring Hojlund as the main attraction. Apparently, the Danish striker may not fit into new manager Ruben Amorim’s grand vision for next season—especially if the Red Devils manage to land a shiny new No. 9 in the summer.

Napoli, however, have other names on their radar. They are reportedly also interested in Joshua Zirkzee, the former Bologna forward currently at AC Milan, who offers versatility across the attack. But let’s be honest—when was the last time Napoli made a straightforward transfer decision?

To make matters more interesting, Calciomercato claims Napoli are also deep in negotiations with Lille for Kosovan winger Edon Zhegrova. Because what’s better than one complicated transfer? Two, of course.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on Antonio Conte, who is reportedly considering his future at Napoli. The club knows they need to make a few big signings to convince him to stay—because nothing says “trust the project” like throwing more players into the mix and hoping for the best.

For now, Napoli are carefully monitoring the situation (which is football-speak for “waiting to see how much more money they can squeeze out of United”). Whether this deal happens or drags on like a never-ending telenovela, one thing is certain: Napoli’s transfer drama is never boring.
