A group of Ndichie/Ogbuefi Ogbunike known as “Ogene for Igweship- Sponsors”, had the honor of representing the frontliner to the throne of Ogbunike, Dr Chuma-Odili Harris Udokamma a.k.a Ogene Ogbunike, at the Amawa Ogbunike Annual Ede Ogwugwu Cultural Festival.
Elder Dr Obi Anyanyo a.k.a. Omeokachie Ogbunike leader of the group described the festival as a vibrant display of Ogbunike culture—through music, dance, and cuisine.
“The festival was truly inspiring. This festival is a testament to the strength of our heritage, unity, and traditions. Let us continue to use platforms like this to foster peace, strengthen community bonds, and promote progress across Ogbunike.” Dr Anyanyo said.
Similarly, the Director General of Ogene Ogbunike Foundation, Chief Ikechukwu Odimuo a.k.a Okwuabudike Ogbunike highlighted that the cultural festival celebration also embodies the values of respect for Ogbunike culture and tradition. He emphasized the benefits of cultural festivals, such as boosting self-esteem, promoting social integration, and fostering community spirit.
Chief Odimuo said that Ogene Ogbunike had assured ndi Ogbunike of his continued support towards ensuring that all the cultural festivals in Ogbunike are given deserved attention, and promoted globally using digital media as a veritable platform. He called on the patriotic citizens of Ogbunike to get actively involved in the renewed campaign to revive Ogbunike’s cultural festivals.
