Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted a consignment of cocaine ingeniously concealed within the walls of several suitcases.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, shared videos of the discovery on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, revealing the extent of the smugglers’ efforts.
According to Babafemi, the drug traffickers went to great lengths by factory-fitting the hard drugs with surgical precision inside the suitcases. Despite the elaborate concealment, NDLEA officers successfully uncovered the illicit substances during a recent operation.
“Strewing the walls of suitcases, in factory fitting precision, with cocaine, must have taken a lot of efforts and resources, but in the end, NDLEA officers still uncovered all,” Babafemi wrote.
The video clips show NDLEA operatives carefully cutting through the inner linings of the luggage to extract the cocaine.
The agency has not yet disclosed the identities of the suspects involved or the destination of the intercepted suitcases.
