Nigerian Army Soldier Allegedly Assaulted by Senior Officer in Taraba State

A Nigerian Army soldier, Lance Corporal Samuel P., has allegedly s¥ffered severe ab¥se at the hands of a senior officer in the 93 Battalion, Taraba State.

SaharaReporters reports that the incident occurred on January 12, 2025, at around 8:10 a.m., during preparations for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day parade in Jalingo.

Sources revealed that LCpl Samuel P. arrived late for the gathering, prompting Lieutenant B. Mohammed to reprimand him.

A video obtained shows the officer ordering the soldier to perform “forward rolls” as puni$hment before taking a stick from Sergeant Steven and fl%gging him.

A photo obtained on Friday showed the soldier’s leg bandaged and soaked in bl%%d, offering visual evidence of the alleged assault.
