Obiora Okonkwo Cannot Win in Anambra” – APGA’s Chinedu Obigwe Predicts Outcome of 2025 Election

As the Anambra State 2025 governorship election approaches, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, has dismissed Obiora Okonkwo’s declaration to run on the APC platform as “mere political gambling.” In a strongly worded statement, Obigwe criticized Okonkwo, accusing him of blackmailing Governor Soludo’s administration out of frustration over his “dead on arrival” governorship ambition.

Obigwe claimed that Okonkwo’s criticisms of Soludo are driven by his desperate desire to become governor “at all costs,” and not by any genuine concerns. He referenced Okonkwo’s past failed attempts to derail the zoning policy in the 2021 elections, a move that was countered by the Anambra Traditional Rulers Council, affirming the zoning agreement which led to Soludo’s victory.

“Obiora Okonkwo’s claim that zoning is only an APGA affair and not agreed upon by Anambra people is a lie. He tried to scuttle zoning in 2021 and failed, and he will fail again in 2025,” Obigwe asserted.

He further argued that Okonkwo’s ambition is clouded by personal interests, suggesting that he is “tormented by guilty conscience,” especially as he expects to be “blackmailed with zoning.” Obigwe expressed confidence that Governor Soludo, with his proven track record, would be re-elected for a second term, and that Okonkwo’s wealth alone would not buy him electoral success.

“Anambra people will choose Soludo over Okonkwo any day because Soludo has justified the confidence of the electorate. Desperadoes like Okonkwo cannot stop this from happening,” Obigwe concluded.
