
There was a shouting match in the Senate this morning March 26 following the debate on the motion to award a posthumous national honour to the late chairman of the defunct National Electoral Commission (NEC) Humphrey Nwosu.
Recall that last week, INEC chairman, Yakub Mahmood called for a national honor to be bestowed on Nwosu who conducted the annulled June 12, 1993, presidential election.
Nwosu, born on October 2, 1941, d!ed on October 24, 2024.
This morning, the lawmakers began a debate on the proposed posthumous award and things degenerated so fast into a heated argument between two Senators.
