The Acting dean of the Faculty of law, Chrisland university, Kayode Akinsola has stressed that the allegation against the number 3 citizen of Nigeria should not be ignored.
In an interview with Channels Television, Kayode Akinsola, emphasized the seriousness of the allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
He stated that an accusation of sexual harassment against such a high-ranking official cannot be ignored, stressing that it is an issue requiring thorough scrutiny. Akinsola suggested that the controversy surrounding Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s seat reassignment should also be questioned, as it may be linked to the larger issue at hand.
Akinsola pointed out that Akpoti-Uduaghan, being a lawyer herself, should have assembled a strong legal team if she intends to challenge the situation effectively.
He furthered argued that instead of relying on public outcry, a legal approach would strengthen her case and provide a structured path to justice. His remarks suggest that both the allegations and the circumstances surrounding them demand deeper investigation.
“If the number 3 man of this nation is being indicted or is being alleged of sexual harassment, it’s not an issue that can just be swept under the carpet and I expect people from various angles to begin to look at it. Why was she asked to leave her seat to go to another seat? It’s something that’s calling for questioning and as such, I’d not want to go extra legalese. I believe that Natasha, being a lawyer, ought to have assembled the very best of lawyers if she knows that she actually wants to fight this battle headlong,” Akinsola stated.
