Controversial artist Speed Darlington has opened up about an intriguing conversation he had with a police officer while in detention. Speaking about the incident, Darlington shared that a policeman expressed disappointment over his music, claiming that his song caused significant pain to someone.
The Igbo part of his statement translates to: “A police man told me that this song pained you so much. That why did they release me only for me to come out and release another song. And I asked the police officer, ‘are you mentally OK?’ Won’t I do music again? I’m an artist.”
Speed Darlington’s detention stemmed from his controversial remarks linking the baby oils found in Diddy’s house during a police raid and Burna Boy’s Grammy win. This was not the first time the artist found himself behind bars due to his statements.
