English Premier League side Nottingham Forest have reportedly reached a pre-contract agreement with Fenerbahçe full-back Bright Osayi-Samuel as they prepare for the possible departure of Nigerian defender Ola Aina.

According to Turkish media outlet Takvim, Osayi-Samuel has turned down multiple contract extension offers from Fenerbahçe and is set to return to England as a free agent when his current deal expires at the end of the season.

“Fenerbahçe has found a way for Osayi-Samuel. The Nigerian star, whose contract will expire at the end of the season, has rejected the management’s latest contract offer,” Takvim reported.

Nottingham Forest have emerged as the frontrunners to sign the 26-year-old, viewing him as a direct replacement for Aina, whose contract also runs out this summer.

Aina, who joined Forest on a free transfer from Torino, has been a key player for the club this season. However, his future remains uncertain, with reports linking him to Manchester City as a potential successor to Kyle Walker, who left for AC Milan in January.

The Super Eagles defender has indicated his willingness to remain at the City Ground, but unless Forest act swiftly with a contract extension, they risk losing him for free.

With Osayi-Samuel closing in on a move to the Premier League and Aina’s future still undecided, Nottingham Forest’s summer transfer window is shaping up to be one to watch.
