The Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has ruled in favor of Governor Monday Okpebholo and the All Progressives Congress (APC) by dismissing a petition filed by the Action Alliance (AA) and Adekunle Rufai Omoaje.
The tribunal found the petition to be lacking merit and frivolous, stating that Omoaje had no legal standing to challenge the election since he did not participate in it.
However, another petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, is still pending judgment.
INEC had declared Okpebholo the winner with 291,667 votes.
