A former governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in Zamfara State, Muhammad Kabir-Sani, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside members of the Ex-Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State House of Assembly Candidates’ Forum.

The defection, which took place in Gusau, was facilitated by the Jajiyya APC political movement, led by Isiyaka Ajiya-Anka.

The new members, including their supporters, pledged their allegiance to the APC after meeting with federal lawmaker Aminu Jaji at his residence.

Kabir-Sani stated that their decision was influenced by Jaji’s leadership and developmental efforts in Zamfara, emphasizing that they were convinced by his impact in the state.

Similarly, Ibrahim Labbo-Anka, who represented the PDP forum, explained that they opted to join the APC due to its strong political presence in Zamfara.

He highlighted that their discussions with Jaji had been productive, leading them to align with the party for the state’s progress.

Jaji, who chairs the House Committee on Ecological Fund, welcomed the defectors, describing their move as a positive development for the APC. He assured them of inclusivity and fair treatment, urging them to contribute meaningfully to the party’s growth.

Speaking on behalf of the Jajiyya movement, Ajiya-Anka reaffirmed the group’s strong political influence across Zamfara’s 14 local government areas.

He assured the new members of full participation in party activities and encouraged them to work towards unity and stability within the APC.
